JayJays EVO II LFR Shooter Belt - Multicam
The LFR EVO II (Evolution 2) Shooter belt is a massive upgrade from our original LFR Shooter belt.
Over the last 18 months we have purposefully taken our time to produce the next evolution of Shooter Belt. The reason why we did this was because we wanted to see what the pros and cons would be over time with Shooter belts.
We have been working closely with operators at the top of their game to develop this new style of Shooter belt.
As we all know the shooter belt was developed for Multi Gun shooting competitions, which was then adopted by military units for CQB, this what we call the ‘level one fight light platform’, used because of its low profile and minimalist set up.
It comprises of 2 parts, the inner belt and outer belt. Let us explain each part in detail and what we have developed to create the Evo II Shooter Belt.
Inner Belt:
Our first priority was the inner belt has to be able to be used as a standalone belt, so it has to be comfortable to wear and be quick and easy to adjust, also the operator may find that they are in a FOB or Camp of some sort, and they only ever need to carry a pistol. So, the belt has to be strong enough to carry the weight of a pistol whether it is belt mounted or drop leg platform.
Our inner belt is made from laser cut Lima 55 laminate fabric. It based on our fast belt because it is very easy to adjust. It can be adjusted one handed, even with a pistol fitted without the fear of the pistol sliding off the belt onto the floor. By stiffening the sides of the belt with a special webbing (not plastic, we do not use plastic to stiffen our belts) our inner belt is easily able to take the weight of a pistol without sagging or drooping down. By covering the outside of the belt with Velcro® MultiCam® loop this allows the outer belt to be fitted quickly and easily.
Outer Belt:
This was broken down into 4 areas, The molle, Buckle, Size and stiffness. The molle is created using Lima 55 laminate laser cut fabric, the top and bottom row has been doubled up and folded and cut using a skeleton pattern to create stiffened molle rails. This makes the molle PALS very strong along the top and bottom, and when you fold the belt back on itself it creates a loop which makes it easier to thread pouches onto the molle but when the belt is put around the waist the molle loops tighten up and pull the pouch into the belt making the pouches more secure. At both ends of the Molle we have incorporated 2 reinforced laminate v rings for hanging lightweight items such as gloves or Cylumes.
The main belt buckle is now 38mm Dual adjust Polymer GT Cobra buckle, this has reduced the large footprint of the 50mm buckle that we used to use. Large elastic covers allow for any excess webbing to be tucked into. This also ensures the maximum amount of molle is available and free and is not covered up by excess belt, like a lot of other belts.
By clever design and thought, we have kept all the Molle part of the belt at 50mm high as we have found it to be the best height for the molle pouches on shooter belts. This then reduces down to 38mm for the main belt buckle.
The use of a specially stiffened webbing which is only inserted along the molle section of the belt. This creates the highest levels of stiffness at the points where it needs to be, but leaves the form of the belt flexible enough for the buckle to move through.
The inside of the belt is lined with hook fabric to allow the attachment to the inner belt.
Sizing:
We at JayJays® have spent a lot of time to get the sizing right. Our focus is on making sure the most amount of molle is free to use for each size, without having excess belt webbing covering your molle. Please see or size guide for a more detailed description.
