Battle Belts originated from Multi-Gun shooting competitions. They were originally designed to only carry ammo.

They enable very quick mag changes and handgun draws, they come in 2 parts; an inner and an outer belt to allow easy release and dressing. It was adopted for use mainly by special forces units for its lightweight, low profile and minimalist set-up.

They are used predominately for room clearance and urban ops.

What to look for in a battle belt?

Fit is one of the most important aspects, as is how many Molle pals are on the belt.

Stiffness and rigidity; battle belts or shooter belts should be very rigid for the holsters to remain in place.

A 50mm high Molle platform will fit your Molle pouches more securely.

It comes in 2 parts, a loop-covered inner belt and hook lined outer belt to make it more durable. A strong outer belt buckle i.e Austrialpin GT cobra buckle.

Good quality construction. If plastic is used to stiffen the belt, then be cautious; the belt should only be stiffened with high-quality webbing.

How should a battle belt fit?

The first and last Molle pals should come just slightly forward on the hip bone, this will make sure that no pouches are fitted too far forward on the waist.

If pouches are fitted across the front of the waist, it will hinder you when you are having to go down on one knee or going into the prone position.

How to wear a battle belt?

The inner belt is worn like any other belt around the waist. The outer belt is then placed over the inner and is secured in place by both the hook and loop fabric.

How to load a battle belt with Ammo?

Firstly, do not overload the belt.

Do not stack mag pouches on top of each other; it will unbalance the belt.

There is no standard set up for this type of belt, it is all task-dependent.

Keep it minimal, a few rifle mags and pistol mags, a flash bang or grenade and maybe an IFAK.

Go as light as possible.

JayJays Budget Shooters Belt

BATTLE BELT- WITHOUT SLEEVE
  • This is a lightweight 2-part modular platform for the minimum amount of battle essential equipment. For example, weapons, magazines, and med kit.
  • Quicker than relying on just the plate carrier, it also gives you the ability to rapidly switch between weapon setups.
  • The main differences between this belt and our premium shooters belt are:
  • Webbing – We used UK spec webbing instead of the U.S. webbing. This makes it slightly softer and not as rigid as the premium belt.
