Once you have read this blog you will have a complete understanding of our backpack range, why the Beast is the best, why we created the Beast and the Light Fighter and what adaptions we can do.

At JayJays, we understand that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to the demands of tactical and outdoor missions. That’s why we offer a range of adaptions for our Light Fighter Daysack and Beast Bergan.

For the Light Fighter Daysack, it’s not just about the choice of colours, although we offer three distinct options:

MTC, Multicam, and Tan to match your environment or personal preference. It’s about the modular compatibility, thanks to the molle webbing. This feature allows you to attach additional pouches and accessories, giving you a customised setup that adapts effortlessly to your mission requirements. In case you need extra storage for specific equipment or want to streamline your load, the Light Fighter Daysack has the versatility to meet your needs.

Similarly, the JayJays Beast Bergan goes beyond being a standard backpack; it’s a must-have for the most demanding missions. With its exceptional capacity and robust construction, it’s designed to withstand extreme conditions and extended operations. But what truly sets it apart is its modular compatibility through the molle webbing. This feature allows you to attach additional pouches and accessories, offering a customisable layout that adapts to the unique demands of your mission. From extra ammo to medical supplies, the Beast Bergan can be configured to keep your gear exactly where you need it.

What adaptations can we do?:

To start off adaptations, we can only work on a Bergan if it’s an issued Bergan, the Beast or our LightFighter Daysack!

We can not work on any other brands of Bergan.

Let’s take a closer look at these purpose-built enhancements:

Spacer Back Pad:

Our Spacer Back Pad is a game-changer for those who demand comfort on extended treks. Unlike some other companies that sew a pad into the centre of the lower back, potentially creating discomfort, we take a different approach. We strip the Bergan down to its essentials and sew our pad into the seams, ensuring a large, smooth, and flat surface. This innovative design eradicates the dreaded “Bergan burn” while allowing air to circulate, keeping you cool and comfortable throughout your mission.

Bergan Top Lid Extension Straps:

Compatible with the PLCE Bergen, our Bergan Top Lid Extension Straps provide flexibility and adjustability. By attaching two clips to the Bergen lid, you gain additional adjustment options when your Bergen isn’t fully loaded. Plus, these straps enable more freedom of movement when the Bergen is at capacity. Available in Olive Green or MTP Webbing, these straps adhere to IRR specifications.

Floating Lid:

Our Floating Lid is designed to prevent the top pouch from inconveniently hitting your head during missions. Equipped with three webbing straps and ladder-lock buckles for easy adjustments, this enhancement levels up the lid. It allows the lid’s sides to securely cover your load, preventing it from slipping out. Crafted from MOD spec webbing and meeting IRR specifications, the Floating Lid is a must-have for a hassle-free experience.

Water Bottle Pouch-Waistband:

Ideal for carrying water bottles, snacks, or other essentials, our Water Bottle Pouch-Waistband offers convenient access when you’re wearing the Bergen. Its unique angle ensures easy retrieval of items from the pouch, and it’s made from rugged MOD 1000 denier nylon to withstand demanding missions while meeting IRR specs.

Basha Pouch:

With our Basha Pouch, you can access your gear without diving into the main compartment of your Bergen, saving you precious time and preventing excess kit from spilling out. This pouch features a heavy-duty zip closure and is reinforced with two 25mm side-release buckles for quiet operation during night missions. Crafted from 1000 denier MOD spec nylon, it also adheres to IRR specifications.

Triple Pouch:

Our Triple Pouch offers secure closure with 25mm side-release buckles and is perfectly sized to fit essentials like Jetboils, mess tins, or water bottles. Crafted from 1000 denier MOD spec MTP/DPM nylon, it meets IRR specifications.

1 Mesh Bladder:

Designed to fit under the side pouch between the zips, the 1 Mesh Bladder allows you to utilise the side pouch and compression straps without compromise. It features a mesh pocket with a drawstring cord for closure, making it ideal for carrying bladders, bivi poles, or serving as a stuff sack for wet gear. The bellows mesh pouch is crafted from MOD MTP or Olive Green knitted mesh, with the choice yours while adhering to IRR specs.

Top Lid Pouch:

Our Top Lid Pouch simplifies access with a straight zip across one side, making it easier to open than the standard curved issue pouch. It’s constructed from MOD spec DPM/MTP 1000 denier nylon and boasts a heavy-duty zip for durability. Two large grab handles ensure effortless handling during your missions.

Drop Down Wider Waistband:

The Drop Down Wider Waistband features an ergonomic design that maximises comfort and fit. Padded for extended wear, it’s easily adjustable on both sides of the buckle for a secure fit. Crafted from MOD 1000 denier nylon, this waistband adheres to IRR specifications.

Wider Straps:

Our Wider Straps are engineered for longevity and comfort under heavy loads. They utilise high-density closed-cell foam that retains its shape and form, ensuring durability during demanding missions. The spacer fabric under the strap provides additional padding and comfort. These straps are sewn through to prevent rolling or pressure points and are crafted from MOD spec DPM 1000 denier nylon while meeting IRR specifications.
